A sample business on Shiftly's demo environment, built for your app, where nothing reaches a real person.
What it contains
Shiftly builds a sandbox business for your app on request. It is a real Shiftly business on the demo environment with the same rules as production, and sample data to work with:
- Two locations in different Australian timezones, Sydney and Perth, so you meet timezone handling early.
- A handful of staff with employments and positions.
- Published rosters for the past weeks and draft rosters for the weeks ahead.
- Timesheets against the published shifts, some approved and some still pending.
- A leave type with balances, and leave requests that are pending, approved and declined.
Every person in it has an address at sandbox.shiftly.invalid. Shiftly refuses to send email or push to that domain, so nothing your app does there can reach anyone.

The sandbox owner can sign in to the demo environment at demo.shiftly.au with the sign-in Shiftly gives you, so you can see what a manager sees: the roster, the timesheets, and the Connected apps page under Integrations where they can disconnect your app.
How to get one
Ask your Shiftly partnership contact. They create the app and the sandbox for you, and send you the client credentials and the sandbox owner's sign-in securely. The client secret is shown to them once, so ask them to rotate it if it is ever lost.
The demo environment can be rebuilt
Shiftly refreshes demo data from time to time. Treat sandbox records as disposable and keep anything you need to reproduce on your side.
